Members Car Draw - Longford Credit Union

  1. All entrants must be aged 17, or over, and participation in the ‘Car Draw’ is limited to members of Longford Credit Union and is subject to one entry per member. This includes eligible Directors, Board Oversight Committee, Staff and Volunteers.
  2. Members wishing to participate in the ‘Car Draw’ must complete, and sign, a ‘Car Draw Entry Form’, available at the Credit Union Office.
  3. The entry fee, or ‘Draw Subscription’, will be determined by the Board of Directors, and members participating in the ‘Car Draw’ will have their ‘Draw Subscription’ deducted from their Shares on a monthly basis. New members are eligible to participate in a ‘Car Draw’ after a ‘Draw Subscription’ has been deducted from their shares.
  4. Members who do NOT wish to remain in the ‘Car Draw’ must notify the Credit Union in writing of their intention.
  5. All ‘Car Draws’ will be held in the Longford Credit Union Office, in the presence of Committee Members and supervised by an Independent Scrutineer.
  6. The ‘Car Draw’ must be self-financing and non-profit making, and any surplus funds will be disposed of by way of extra ‘Cash Draws’.
  7. Winning members will be notified in writing, and their names and photographs may be published in the local media.
  8. The make, type and colour of the car will be at the sole discretion of the Board. A cash alternative may be given in lieu of the car. The amount of the cash alternative will be at the sole discretion of the Board.
  9. The Board, Volunteers and Staff of Longford Credit Union will not be liable for any defects, mechanical or otherwise, that may be found in vehicles supplied. Cars supplied are subject to the normal warranty issued by the manufacturers.
  10. If a winning member is in arrears, or in default of any financial commitment, to the Credit Union the delivery of the Car may be withheld until the arrears have been paid or the default has been rectified. A decision to withhold a prize will be notified in writing to such a member. If the member has failed to comply with the requirements of the Credit Union in relation to the arrears or default within 21 days of the notification, the Credit Union shall be entitled to sell the prize and use the proceeds to address the arrears or default. In the case of Cash Prizes, arrears shall be recouped in full before the prize is presented.
  11. The decision of the Board concerning the foregoing rules or any matter arising from the ‘Car Draw’ will be final and not subject to appeal.
